Job Description

Employee Responsibilities:
  • Analyze samples using a variety of analytical methods using gas chromatography using various detector systems, including but not limited to FID, ECD
  • Prepare analytical standards of liquids by dilution
  • Calculate data within chromatographic data systems and manually
  • Record and report data within laboratory information system
  • Analyze samples using ion chromatography on occasion
  • Document Non-conformance Memos (NCMs) and notify PM and supervisor
  • Maintain competency on complex instrumentation including but not limited to, gas chromatographs andion chromatographs
  • Perform routine and advanced instrument maintenance

Position hours are: Monday-Friday 4pm-12:30am OR Wednesday - Sunday 8am-4:30pm with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate would possess:
  • 2+ years of related experience in the field.
  • Demonstrate and promote the company vision
  • Exhibit regular attendance and punctuality
  • Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner
  • Perform job functions in compliance withEHS and QA standards
  • Maintain good housekeeping in his/her work area
  • Work under close supervision while training
  • Ensure work area and all equipment is kept organized, neat and clean
  • Familiarity with USEPA Methods, including Methods SW-8015, 8081, 8082, 8151, and EPH
  • Twoyears minimum experience in gas chromatography and chromatography data systems
  • Supervisory experience desirable
  • IC experience a plus
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Instrumental Analysis, Physical Chemistry and Physics coursework preferred

Basic Minimum Qualifications
  • BS or BA in chemistry or closely related field.
  • Related experience
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
