Job DescriptionDesign, develop, and implement tools to ensure the Area 3 (tank farms, marine terminal, cogeneration unit, cooling towers, storm water and process water treatment complex) conformance to current applicable local, state, and federal environmental air quality regulations and future changes in requirements and regulations.Oversee required compliance testing and demonstrations on all emission point sources covering all pollutants by identifying qualified contract providers and coordinating testing with operations within area of responsibilityWork within Area of Responsibility to evaluate non-compliance issues (Title V Deviations, etc.) to ensure true preventative measures are identified and corrective actions are implemented.Evaluates physical and operations changes for permitting requirements.Assists in the evaluation of control technologies for emissions reductions and/or cost savings.Serves as primary regulatory liaison for site visits and regulatory inspections to area of responsibility. Primary environmental contact for negotiations with the USCG MSU Port Arthur, updating and obtaining approval of the FRP and Dock Operations Manual Facilitates project justification regarding environmental compliance for all media (air, waste, and water) in area of responsibility.Works with shared services to evaluate new regulations on the horizon. Perform an evaluation of the regulations and develops plans to ensure compliance by the implementation dates. Assist in Root Cause Failure Analysis Investigations for environmental incidents as needed.Rotational on-call environmental contact for refinery incidents and on the IC organization as assigned.About us / company profileGive your best to better energy and make the commitment with Total. May have B.S. in other field if holding or will obtain a registered professional environmental certification.2+ years environmental experience in the refining or petrochemical industry.Worked at or responsible for environmental compliance at a refinery or plant Facilitation skills, strong communication skills, team player, self-motivatedKnowledge of management systems or development of management systems is desirable.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and development of compliance tools.Ability to be on-call and respond as needed during off-hours.Context and environmentWork closely with department managers, superintendents, process supervisors, supervisors, engineers, process coordinators, hourly and corporate staff.Position requires good intra-departmental and inter-departmental work relationships to ensure company and regulatory requirements and commitments are met.Outside refinery contacts include regulatory agencies, government representatives, industry work groups, consultants, internal company peers, support staff and management/supervision.Interaction with and oversight of vendors is required to ensure work is done accurately within budget.
