General
Summary

Performs
analyses of raw materials, final rinse water, deionized, batches, and finished
products following specified micro-biological testing methods. Assists the Quality Control Supervisor in
serving as a main point of contact between all other Voyant Beauty departments
and the QC laboratory.

Essential Job functions

Ø Responsible for testing
raw material, bulk, and finished products for micro- biological analysis by
using in-house or customer methods.

Ø Responsible for
testing-final rinse and deionized water samples.

Ø Responsible to perform
QCC test on ATCC cultures.

Ø Responsible for testing
air by setting media plates for total count and yeast molds.

Ø Able to use all
instruments (microscope, Incubator, Autoclave, Celsis, balances, endotoxin,
data loggers and biosafety hoods) used in the microbiological laboratory. Tests
the efficacy of preservation on products utilizing a variety of tests and
maintains all records as required.

Ø Responsible for
performing identification test by using micro scan ID kit.

Ø Perform environment
monitoring of manufacturing facility.

Ø Responsible for
recording daily temperatures for all instruments used in the laboratory.

Ø Responsible for
performing sanitization validation on manufacturing and filling equipment.

Ø Responsible for taking a
corrective action in case of out of limit results.

Ø Perform gram stain test
if required.

Ø Performs microbiological
test method suitability as needed.

Ø Maintains accurate logbooks and complete
documentation as required.

Ø Conducts
site micro awareness training. May also train Compounders and Warehouse on
proper sampling technique.

Ø Report
and investigate out of specifications (OOS) results. Determine root cause and
implement corrective action.

Ø Responsible for
following cGMP and cGLP practices.

Minimum
Job Requirements

B.S. Degree in Microbiology or related field or
equivalent experience
Strong attention
to detail.
Strong
communication skills, both written and verbal.
Able to challenge
conventions in a constructive way.
Ability to work
efficiently under tight timelines and achieve results, while maintaining
high quality of work
Excellent
analytical, teamwork and customer service skills.
