Overview:
The EHS Manager will help manage injury prevention programs and ensure compliance with all applicable EH regulations. The incumbent will have responsibility for safety and environmental programs, injury case management, injury prevention and EHS training at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities:
Establishes a "zero harm" safety culture that is focused on safety management systems and injury prevention.Manages and implements comprehensive injury prevention and environmental protection programs.Implements and ensures compliance with environmental, health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, regional and state regulations.Manages facility environmental programs in the areas of hazardous waste, storm water pollution, wastewater management and air emissionsEnsures all associates, both hourly and management, receive all training necessary to safely perform respective duties and operate within the plant environment.Regularly plans, implements and trains site personnel on various EH policies and programs, including, but not limited to, safety practices, fire prevention, personal protective equipment, regulations and standards, and incident investigation.Identifies and suggests corrective measures to improve the facility's accident experience and suggest/implement means to achieve EH goals.Conducts risk assessments and job hazard analysis.Leads the investigation of injuries to determine root cause and corrective action.Regularly inspects the facility to identify potential EHS hazards. Determines and implements corrective or preventive measures where indicated.Supports the workers' compensation program for the site.Performs other duties as assigned.Leads efforts to continuously improve Health and Safety performance, including improvement programs and corrective actions and the integration of H initiatives into overall business operationsInterfaces with government agencies to maintain regulatory compliance (audits, annual reports, permit applications, etc.)Works with Human Resources and Production to implement H training requirements

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required; emphasis on EH or related field (science, engineering) preferred.At least 5-7 years of related experience; EH experience supporting a manufacturing/production facility required.Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts; Certification in Safety (CSP) is preferred.Strong attention to detail and proven track record of results with bias for action.Excellent time management skills and ability to utilize time and resources effectively and efficiently.Sense of urgency, ability to take action quickly in fast-paced environment.Ability to establish expectations, motivate, delegate and get work done through others effectively.Unquestionably high ethical standards and attention to reputational and compliance risks.Excellence- ability to deliver consistent quality results through sense of urgency and taking initiative, while also demonstrating flexibility to meet business needs.People-minded- ability to foster mutual respect and positive relationships with co-workers, demonstrates listening skills and ensures physical safety of self and others.Integrity- honors commitments, acts honestly and with accountability.Openness/Fairness- ensures objectivity and sets a good example for others; being available, tolerate and encouraging creativity.Strong oral and written communication skills, excellent problem solving, interpersonal and analytical skills, and ability to work in a team environmentExperience of building and developing a strong safety culture within an organizationStrategically partners with senior leadership, as well as all levels of the organization, to manage complex business initiatives and effectively meet the needs of businesses.High level of proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel and other related Microsoft products.
