OVERVIEW



This position will actively support food safety and quality assurance through the use, and validation of, pathogen detection products. The analyst will prepare and evaluate samples using aseptic technique to ensure products meet specifications. The products being monitored are crucial to maintaining consumer safe food supply chains. Work is performed as part of a team in a collaborative environment.



RESPONSIBILITIES



    Conduct Analysis of products using traditional microbiological techniques such as dilution, pour plating, and filtrationPerform a wide range of general molecular/microbiology related test methods such as sterility testing, plate counting, and pathogen identificationPrepare sterile lab media used to conduct testingParticipate in general laboratory cleaning and maintenance in support of a safe workspace



    QUALIFICATIONS



    • BS degree in Biological science or related field
    • 1-3 years of related lab experience
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience with ENOVIA a plus
    • Effective problem solving skills
    • Good work ethic
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
    • Detail oriented
