Summary:

Pheast is seeking a talented and highly motivated Scientist to join our Biology group. The successful candidate will be a passionate scientist with strong technical skills and a background in cancer immunology. The candidate will be expected to work in a fast-paced, nimble startup, and effectively collaborate with colleagues across scientific teams to advance preclinical drug development. This position will report to the Director, Biology.

Responsibilities:

Position responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and validate assays relevant to myeloid cell immunotherapy targets
  • Plan, execute, analyze, and interpret in vitro assays for target validation and drug lead selection
  • Accurately document and present research findings to colleagues at team meetings
  • Maintain an up-to-date understand of relevant scientific literature and methodology
  • Collaborate closely with Protein Science team, Discovery team, and other functional areas, contributing wherever necessary to advance Pheast programs
  • Help to establish and promote an inclusive, collaborative, and innovation driven company


Requirements:

  • PhD. in biology, immunology, biochemistry or related field with 5+ years of experience
  • Hands on experience in immuno-oncology techniques (including multi-color flow cytometry and primary immune cell functional assays)
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational and record keeping skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment


Desirable:
  • Track record of scientific accomplishments as evinced by quality and quantity of publications and/or inventions and/or successful grant applications
  • Experience collaborating in a cross-functional capacity
  • Experience with in vivo models of oncology and/or immunology
