Jacksons Food Stores Inc. has an immediate job opening for an Environmental Compliance Specialist at our corporate offices in Meridian, Idaho. This is a full time, salaried position that will average between 40-50 hours per week. This position will manage regulatory compliance audits under the supervision of our Environmental Compliance Manager.

What will I do as an Environmental Compliance Specialist?
Here are just some of the things you'll do in this role:

Coordinate regulatory compliance audits for fuel system underground storage tank systems. This includes correspondence with regulators and collaboration with in house facilities department.
Contract and schedule Stage I and Stage II vapor recovery testing and reporting to various air quality agencies.
Manage automatic tank gauge information via remote monitoring software program and coordinating with in house facilities department for alarm response and recordkeeping.
Schedule and contract annual fuel system testing where required.
Manage fuel inventory control program via regression analysis software system and coordination with accounting, IT, and the facilities department when further investigation or corrective action measures are required.
Manage water systems backflow device annual compliance testing and reporting.
Manage recycling and waste disposal services and fees through a third-party vendor.
Other duties as assigned

You'll be a great fit if you have…

Excellent computer skills
A demonstrated knowledge of the MS Office suite including Excel, Word, and Outlook
A history of being detail oriented with the ability to work on several tasks simultaneously.
The ability to communicate effectively and be a team player in a fast-paced environment is a must.
Prior experience with most of the job requirements is required, particularly fuel systems compliance tasks. Some initial training is expected.
