Overview:
As an Ecological Project Manager for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc., you'll help to expand client services, manage projects, and lead a project team to navigate today's complex environmental regulatory landscape, helping our commercial, institutional, and energy clients to comply with the federal Clean Water Act (CWA), Endangered Species Act, and related state regulations. CEC's Ecological Practice is an essential part of the integrated services offering to our clients. CEC's Ecological Practice distinguishes itself from the service offerings of other firms because of the breadth of our technical expertise that includes: wetland and stream assessments, delineations, and mitigation; endangered species surveys including bats and plants; natural stream channel restoration; invasive plant control; bio-retention and wetland treatment systems; and ecological risk assessments. The employees of the practice group work cooperatively across all CEC offices to bring the necessary ecological expertise to our clients' specific project needs.

Qualifications:
B.S. or M.S. in Ecology, Biology, or related technical field;Existing contacts and the ability to develop and market to new and existing clients;Demonstrated client development and management experience to assist in expanding the delivery of our services to the energy, oil and gas, mining, public sector, and real estate markets;Experience preparing state and federal permits for stream and wetland encroachments;Demonstrated understanding of State and Federal regulations from agencies such as US Environmental Protection Agency, Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, West Virginia Division of Natural Resources, US Army Corps of Engineers, and US Fish & Wildlife Service;Ability to provide technical expertise and mentoring to staff in the ecological practice;Ability to manage multiple activities, technical professionals, and a targeted client base; andMinimum 8 years of experience performing and leading wetland and stream delineations, and managing ecological projects.
