Job Description
The Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Associate will develop and maintain EHS programs for client Veterinary Medicine Research & Development in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and in accordance with client policies and guidelines. These programs are designed to minimize the impact of site operations on the surrounding community and to ensure a safe & compliant workplace for the site's employees, contingent workers, and guests.
Job Responsibilities
o Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements and internal client EHS requirements
pertaining to all areas of assigned responsibility
o Develop and analyze reports from various systems
o Collect and record EHS metrics and other data related to EHS
o Design training programs, curriculum, and onboarding systems for new workers
o Ensure accuracy and robustness of occupational risk assessments
o Be a highly engaged team member and be fully accountable for assigned deliverables
o Occasional domestic travel may be required to support remote locations
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
o Bachelor's degree required
o Good organizational and time management skills
o Strong attention to detail and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
o Strong problem-solving skills
o Experienced user in Microsoft products, such as Excel, Word and Powerpoint
o Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication
o Desire to learn and apply EHS best practices in a dynamic research and development environment
Preferred Qualifications
o Prior Environmental, Health and Safety experience is desired
o Basic understanding of key EHS metrics is preferred
