Biologist

Startup biotechnology company seeks a Lab Operations Specialist to oversee all day-to-day laboratory operations at the company's flagship site in South San Francisco. This company is developing a proprietary technology platform targeting various regenerative pathways critical for the establishment of complex diseases. Requirements for the Lab Operations Specialist:

• Bachelor's degree related scientific field
• 2+ years of relevant work experience
• Proficient in sourcing, procurement, negotiating, and ordering lab reagents and/or equipment, while and building strong relationships with vendors
• Experience or familiarity with inventory tracking, data tracking, and has a deep commitment to enforcing structure and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Familiarity with installing, fixing/maintaining lab equipment and/or dealing with technical vendors
• Experience or familiarity in managing environmental health and safety (EH&S) and risk assessments
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and be able to lead and direct others
• Prior experience or familiarity in managing biosafety responsibilities is a plus
• Experience with one or more of the following:
  • Molecular biology, biochemistry, synthetic biology, cell culture or other biological discipline
