The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator will be responsible for managing the site's overall environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory agency guidelines and company policies.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Supporting the environmental, safety and health related efforts for the facility, which will include involvement in all safety improvement process activities. Reinforce EHS implementation of programs, campaigns, and initiatives. Encouraging all plant employees to follow EHS initiatives; providing positive reinforcement and coaching to employees; and continually demonstrating appropriate behavior and leading by example. Promoting EHS implications in all plant projects and activities Drive awareness and accountability for environmental, health and safety performance through all levels of the site.
Support management in investigating incident and non-conformance reports, and determine appropriate corrective and preventative actions. Assist in management of Contractor Management Program at the location
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health, Environmental studies, or related. Combination of Education & Experience will be considered. Current or able to qualify for CPR/First Aid/BBP certifications At least 2 years of experience in direct Environmental, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health and/or Safety experience in a manufacturing environment Knowledge/Experience in working with federal/county EHS requirements (i.e.; OSHA, EPA, NFPA), regulatory compliance, inspections, incident investigations, process safety, contractor safety, EHS training, hazard reviews and job safety analysis. Knowledge of safety, industry hygiene and environmental testing methods What our client offers:
