The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) is a non-profit environmental advocacy organization. Position Summary: NRDC is seeking a Program Assistant to work with the Federal Water Policy, Alaska Conservation, and Water & Agriculture teams in our Washington, D.C. office. We seek an enthusiastic and organized individual who can facilitate the work of NRDC's Nature program. Strong research and writing skills are important.
Execute traditional clerical responsibilities, including word-processing, copying, filing, and mailingProofread, fact-check, edit, research, and generally assist in the preparation of policy, scientific and legal documents, reports, fundraising proposals, blogs and relevant program materialsCoordinate staff calendars, schedule meetings and calls, handle travel arrangementsDraft contracts, process invoices, complete expense reports, assist with budget management, and track expenses and grant allocationsMaintain paper and electronic filing systemsOrganize and facilitate program events, including outside functions
