As the Training and Development Specialist, you will:Design, create, and maintain training materials including instructor lead trainings, e-Learning materials, and videos.Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups, or consultation with managers, instructors, or customer representatives.Facilitate courses in person and online.Contribute to the planning, design, and implementation of company curricula and stand-alone education and/or training needs by assessing the defined learning objectives.Work independently and within a team of cross functional professionals dedicated to successful implementation of projects.Develop and maintain strong partnerships to support the training and development process including negotiating needs and deliverables and providing advice and direction on projects.Provide input and suggest recommendations from a user-centered design perspective, ensuring the learners' needs are met.Travel Expectations: 50% to our plants in Wisconsin, Nebraska, Minnesota, South Dakota, Ohio, and Illinois.NOTE: this description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Basic Qualifications:Must be 18 years of age or older.Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, Education, or other business field.Minimum of 2 years curriculum design.Minimum of 2 years' experience training in a corporate environment.Must be willing and able to travel 50% to our plants in Wisconsin, Nebraska, Minnesota, South Dakota, Ohio, and Illinois.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong preference towards food manufacturing/processing.Experience in video creation and production.Ability to effectively communicate (speak, read, write) in Spanish strongly preferred.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong computer skills including experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), Windows-based PCs, and solid working knowledge or Microsoft Office.
