Our client, a global bio-pharmaceutical company that manufactures clinical trial and commercial materials for conjugate vaccines and gene therapies, is seeking a Microbiologist to join their Microbiology Team team. Day to day this team's key responsibilities are to assist in executing protocols to qualify a mid level disinfectant to be used at the site. This will mainly consist of performing laboratory tasks and executing already established protocols for the site.
The position will support the Quality Operations department by performing Quality Control activities associated with bringing on a new disinfectant to the facility. This will consist of testing, analyzing, interpreting, and trending results/data; creating, reviewing, executing activates for, and approving documentation, acting as a change agent and driving continuous improvement/Operational Excellence/innovative implementations.
This position is focused on Microbiological assays. Experience in bioburden, colony count method is preferred. Microbiologist would be a responsible for ensuring routine testing is scheduled, completed, and reviewed within the required time frame. They would be available for trouble shooting .Other responsibilities would include Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) revisions, qualification/validation support, as well as represent Quality Control (QC) Microbiology in meetings and during internal and regulatory audits. Analyst may be required to perform testing as needed for supporting lab functions

*Top Skills Details:*

* BS Degree in Biology, Microbiology, or other related discipline
* Must have 6 months - 2 years of experience: manufacturing, quality or engineering experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry required
* Experience with Aseptic Technique, Bioburden Testing, Colony Counting, Growth Promotion
* cGMP Laboratory experience preferred
* Experience using Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), Global Quality Tracking System (TrackWiseTM application); Microsoft Office™ applications specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred
*Schedule Details:*
M- F 8am - 5pm, potential for OT
6 Paid Holidays, 1 Week Of PTO
