Microbiologist

Our client, is in healthcare testing services seeking a Microbiologist to join their team! Salary/Hourly Rate: $25 - $30/hr Position Overview: The Microbiologist will join a dynamic and mission-critical team to perform accurate testing and results reporting. The Microbiologist will help maintain safe and clean lab environment. Responsibilities of the Microbiologist:

• Preparation of reagents for testing Perform DNA extraction
• Perform PCR mix Operate PCR instrument
• Perform preventative maintenance instrument/QC
• Perform accurate results logging and database update
• Follow all safety rules and guidelines

Qualifications for the Microbiologist:

• Minimum of 1 year hands-on industry experience performing human specimens testing
• Basic lab skills including PCR, ELISA etc.
• Prior COVID or public health testing experience is desired
• Good knowledge of lab protocols and lab safety
• Good computer skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Must be vaccinated and able to pass medical clearance

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry or related disciplines is required
