H-E-B Industrial Properties Partners--leading edge innovators in facility design, construction, maintenance, and support services--work hard to make sure our facilities and equipment are designed, procured, maintained, and improved to maximize resources for our Manufacturing, Warehouse, and Transportation Division.As an Environmental Specialist II, you'll implement current environmental compliance programs, inspection processes, and cost-effective operational strategies. You'll ensure delivery of monthly facility inspections, and resolution and reporting of findings related to your assigned area (based on your expertise).Once you're eligible, you'll become an Owner in the company, so we're looking for commitment, hard work, and focus on quality and Customer service. 'Partner-owned' means our most important resources--People--drive the innovation, growth, and success that make H-E-B The Greatest Omnichannel Retailing Company.Do you have a:HEART FOR PEOPLE... leadership and collaboration skills?HEAD FOR BUSINESS... knowledge to ensure project cost control / cost reduction?PASSION FOR RESULTS... drive to manage timely, excellent projects to completion?We are looking for:- 5+ years of experience related to environmental operations program management- relevant category-specific certificationsWhat is the work?Compliance / Inspection / Management:- Implements / executes category specific environmental operations programs in compliance with all local, state, and federal requirements- Ensures consistent execution of program scope, budget, and environmental compliance requirements- Collaborates with H-E-B Environmental Compliance team to ensure programs align with defined laws and H-E-B expectations- Coordinates program services across all H-E-B MWT campuses- Ensures delivery of monthly facility inspections and resolution of findings related to assigned area of expertise (wastewater, storm water, waste management, hazardous materials / chemicals)- Reports findings to Corporate Environmental Affairs for oversight and guidance (via SafeFood 360 and other required platforms)What is your background?- Bachelor's degree in environmental sciences or related field (advanced degree preferred)- 5+ years of experience related to environmental operations program management- Category-specific certifications relevant to your area of expertiseDo you have what it takes to be a fit as an H-E-B Environmental Specialist II?- Strong working knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, and requirements- Strong knowledge of environmental programs required in the industrial sector- Strong organization, analytical, and decision-making skills- Strong leadership skills- Strong verbal / written communication skills- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills- Computer skills- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally and tactfully- Adaptability in a changing environment- Service / team orientatedCan you...- Function in a fast-paced environment- Travel by car or plane with overnight stays- Negotiate all program site areas in all phases of execution, with physical mobility- Work extended hours, as needed; sit / stand for extended periods- Regularly lift to 20 lbs- Use arms / hands in repetitive motions with hand / finger dexterity02-2022
