Position Summary:

Biomason is looking for a Research Laboratory Technician to join our team at our Headquarters office in Research Triangle Park, NC on weekends. This position will report to one of our Research Scientists and will support our Commercial R&D department Thursday through Monday.

Responsibilities:
  • Work independently on weekends and collaboratively on weekdays
  • Preparing cell cultures using sterile technique
  • Assisting with experimental execution and incremental sampling
  • Routine data collection and data entry
  • Maintaining a clean and proper work environment, including operation and calibration of lab instruments
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate degree
  • 0-2 years experience in a laboratory setting using sterile technique

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience characterizing cell cultures (cell count, pH, EC, OD)

Physical Requirement:
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
  • Adjusting or moving objects up to 40 pounds in all directions
  • Communicating with others to exchange information
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing
  • Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds
