Our client is pioneering the discovery, development, and commercialization of an exciting new drug modality. They recently selected a lead development candidate and plan to initiate clinical development early next year. They are seeking a highly motivated Scientist with significant experience in cell and molecular biology to join the biology team.

They are seeking a highly motivated Scientist with significant experience in cell and molecular biology to join the biology team.
Responsibilities:
- Independently design, develop and perform relevant assays and biological experiments to interrogate the function of our proprietary Helicon peptides
- With guidance, develop and execute on strategies to elucidate the mechanism of action and identify preclinical biomarkers for our lead Helicons
- Accurately record, analyze, and present data to team and company leadership
- Coordinate with external collaborators and CRO's to support our research goals
What you'll need to be successful:
- Ph.D. and 2+ years of industry experience in cancer biology, cell biology or related field
- Hands-on experience with CRISPR and/or RNAi for target validation is required
- Experience in drug discovery, hit-to-lead process and matrixed team work is required
- Proficiency in a broad range of biochemical, molecular and cellular techniques including: Western blotting, qPCR, transfection, immunofluorescence and/or live imaging techniques and immunohistochemistry
- Experience in managing relationships with collaborators or CROs is preferred
- Innovative, creative, inquisitive, motivated researcher with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Able to work on-site and attend in-person meetings
