Biologist

* The Gene Expression team utilizes protein testing methods (various ELISA methods) to determine expression of modified genes in crops across various tissues and at different stages of the plant's lifecycle.
* Results are used by clients to confirm crops were bred properly and to ensure the safety of genetically modified varieties.
* For these open positions, primary tasks will be receiving and processing of crop samples throughout the summer or 2022. In the fall of 2022, once all samples are received, samples will be tested by a variety of ELISA methods (10+ different ELISA methods) to confirm the presence of select traits of interest.
* All work to be completed will fall under GLP guidelines, requiring good documentation practices.
*Skills & Qualifications:*

* B.S. degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology or related life science degree.
