Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm (In-office) This is not a remote position.

Direct and oversee Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) program. As needed, the EHS Manager will review, evaluate, and analyze work environments and design programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury caused by chemical, physical, and biological agents or ergonomic factors. Will provide supervision to ensure the proper handling, control, and compliance of hazardous materials and hazardous waste. Will conduct inspections and enforce adherence to laws and regulations governing the health and safety of individuals.
  • Lead the implementation of EHS policies and programs to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local OSHA/EPA regulations and applicable company requirements (i.e., Hazardous Material Storage, Bloodborne Pathogens, Powered Industrial Truck, Machine Safety, etc.).
  • Provide technical and regulatory expertise with the development of EHS continuous improvement goals and conducting follow up activities resulting from EHS incidents, agency inspections, and/or internal/external audits.
  • Conduct periodic facility inspections and EHS related activities including training, auditing, and assessing to verify continuing compliance with regulatory agency requirements.
  • Develop and perform risk assessments and assist in the implementation of effective physical and/or behavioral control measures. Evaluate and verify the effectiveness of implemented control measures.
  • Identify potentially unsafe conditions and equipment operation while demonstrating knowledge of effective corrective actions
  • Coach leadership at all levels within the organization on EHS related issues and effectively advocate for inclusion of EHS goals/values.
  • Initiate a comprehensive accident and near miss investigations and conduct a thorough root cause analyses to identify appropriate corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with management to maintain established EHS policies and procedures and develop new strategies related to staff, visitor and contractor safety protocols, as required.
  • Continuously monitor and correct unsafe work practices that could harm employees, contractors, or equipment.
  • Conduct research on safety topics, address safety concerns, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Conduct employee training for applicable environmental and health and safety standards.
  • Review safety training and recommend revisions, improvements, and updates.
  • Develop and deliver training programs related to hazardous materials and hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
  • Supervise work of third party contractors tasked with testing or removal of hazardous materials and hazardous waste.
  • Follow up on employee complaints related to exposure to hazardous materials or air pollutants.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records related to chemical inventories and shipments of waste.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • Bachelor's degree in occupational or environmental safety, safety engineering, or other relevant field or any bachelor's degree and 10 years of EHS experience.
  • Minimum 5 years occupational health and safety experience in a small manufacturing environment required.
  • CSP, ASP, or OHST certification preferred but not required.
  • Extensive knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) general industry standards
  • Knowledge of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) waste generator policies for the control and management of hazardous waste and labeling requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to conduct effective training utilizing various mediums
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong team building and leadership skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to comprehend and articulate EHS requirements and regulations
