Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate who will apply molecular biology skills and contribute to the discovery of novel antibodies across our diverse therapeutics portfolio encompassing fibrosis, oncology, metabolic diseases. The successful candidate will become a key member of the Antibody Discovery and Engineering team deeply involved in experimental planning, troubleshooting and high-impact execution. The ideal candidate will have 2-5+ years of laboratory experience with a BS/MS degree in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, immunology or a related discipline. We are looking for a team member who is self-motivated and a quick learner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to establishing creative and efficient molecular cloning of antibody V genes from our antibody discovery platforms e.g. hybridoma, single B cell cloning
  • Perform molecular cloning and protein engineering techniques including, but not limited to, RNA and DNA isolation, primer design, PCR, RT-PCR, gene assemblies, DNA preps/purifications
  • Establish methodologies towards expression vector/DNA construct designs for small-scale transient transfections in HEK/CHO for recombinant antibody expression
  • Contribute to developing high-throughput sequencing technologies for hybridomas and B cells
  • Working in a team environment and integrate collaborative effort towards the operational goals of delivering novel high value antibody candidates for our therapeutics programs


Education and Experience:
  • Bachelors/Masters in Molecular Biology, Immunology, Cell Biology, or related field, with 2-5+ years of relevant hands-on molecular biology experience from biotech/pharma industry or academia
  • Strong technical expertise in molecular biology including diverse PCR methods (RT-PCR, RACE-PCR, ddPCR), DNA/RNA extraction and purification, DNA quantitation/analysis, molecular cloning and knowledge of DNA sequence analysis software
  • Experience with single-cell molecular biology or similar low-input template recovery techniques
  • Cell biology expertise including mammalian cell culture, transfection for small scale protein expression and/or purification
  • Experience using tools for analyzing Ab V gene sequencing datasets is desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
