Grants Manager

Global Thermostat seeks an experienced Grants Manager, with a minimum of five years of experience, to direct the administrative, reporting, and compliance side of new and existing projects funded by external entities, primarily from the federal government.

We want someone who will seamlessly integrate into the existing team at Global Thermostat's Technology Center in Denver, CO. You will join a smart, educated, and inquisitive team, each of whom is committed to helping to bring to market the climate-scale deployment of Direct Air Capture.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage the administrative, reporting, and compliance side of funded projects, working directly with project PIs
  • Maintain awareness of new and forthcoming funding opportunities from the government (e.g. U.S. Department of Energy, U.S. Department of Defense) in addition to private industry grant opportunities
  • Manage the overall grant efforts organization-wide, optimizing the administration process, preparing progress reports, ensuring compliance with grant regulations, and educating staff on grant requirements and policies

Qualifications:
  • Education/Experience:
  • BS or greater
  • 5+ years of experience in relevant role managing funded projects from either grantor or grantee side
  • Preferred: Experience directly with U.S. Department of Energy projects


  • Language Ability:
  • Able to effectively communicate to technical management. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Able to communicate confidently to external parties and give presentations


  • Reasoning Ability:
  • Define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions


  • Computer Skills:
  • Competence in MS Office required

Salary Range:
  • $60,000-80,000
