Environmental Engineer

*Description:*

Toyota is currently looking for an environmental specialist. Toyota is an engine manufacturing plant located in Huntsville, AL. They will be performing the management system side of EPA compliance. They interacting on the production floor with suppliers, managers, group and team leaders to ensure the compliance of the environmental standards are adhered to. They will be working with hazmat material and will be first responders to any accidents that occur on Toyota premise. They will focus on document control specifically for the environmental side. This person will maintain their internal audit documentation and will be responsible for helping maintain their ISO-14000 certification. This person will be focused mainly on compliance with waste handling, waste water treatments, dinos, and general stores. They will be working every day to make sure they are maintaining the environmental management system. They will also be in charge of their own record keeping/document control for all environmental compliance. He/she will be responsible for maintaining internal audit documentation and data systems for both internal and external reporting. He/she will be expected to comply with the rules and regulations relative to RCRA, EPA, Clean Water and Air Act, waste water treatment, chemical management and reporting. They will also focus on implementing sustainability initiatives for company KPI targets for water, waste, and energy. This individual will be in charge of environmental projects. Examples: retooling of lines, meet regulatory measure for new lines, etc. They will need proven problem solving pertaining to environmental problems.

2-5 years of manufacturing experience
