Fluke is hiring an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist I. This role is an integral part of the Fluke EHS team, and we work closely with manufacturing and service organizations to identify and address EHS needs and requirements. As a member of the EHS team you will assess efficiency of EHS programs and assist in the development, implementation, improvement, and sustainment as well as processes to ensure a safe work environment. You will address issues of moderate complexity, and, through application of the Fortive Business System, resolve issues through immediate action, short-term planning, and integrating long-term solutions into business processes and management systems. Collaboration is essential to the success of this position.

Responsibilities:

We partner with leaders to establish strategies and to champion a culture of safety. Drives development, implementation, and sustainment of EHS programs. Responsible for managing and communicating key performance indicators. Conduct EHS compliance and EHS Management System audits. Interacts with key members of the organization as the EHS knowledge center, offering guidance and suggestions for improvement. Completes Job Hazard Assessments, ergonomic reviews, and assists with countermeasures. Inspects machines and other equipment for accident preventing devices (Lockout, Tag out). Supports emergency response and first aid program. Champions employee safety programs focusing on electrical safety and ergonomics. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Leads projects with manageable risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. Integrates EHS programs withing Fluke's lean manufacturing environment. Responsible for EHS Compliance programs, and associated reporting.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1-4 years of EHS experience
  • Experience working in electronic or light manufacturing preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite of products, and data management tools
