Arcosa Lightweight is searching for a Environmental Manager in Norman, OK. In this role you will support a positive safety culture staff within a 24/7 aggregate environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards across 7 different plants.

Arcosa Lightweight is a leading producer and distributor in the Western and Southwestern U.S. of lightweight and natural aggregates, including expanded shale and clay, crushed stone, sand and gravel, asphalt rock, and other products.
What You'll Do:
  • Contributes to the establishment of a positive Safety culture by participating in ARC100 Defined Activities.
  • Develops and implements environmental compliance programs to ensure environment regulatory obligations are fulfilled in a cost-effective manner and that environmental risks are effectively managed.
  • Analyzes and maintains detailed records of pollutant concentrations in air, water, plant and soil samples.
  • Assists field locations in pollution prevention and waste minimization programs through periodic monitoring and technical guidance.
  • Conducts research on the degradation of pollutants in the environment, including streams, sediments and groundwater.
  • Maintains detailed records and prepares related reports and studies for submission to regulatory agencies.
  • Maintains understanding and keeps VP - Operations informed of federal and state regulations, both current and pending.
  • Regularly visits all plant locations to assist Plant Management with all environmental compliance efforts.
  • Provides information and participates with corporate environmental reporting and other Business Unit level strategic discussions.
  • Perform technical analysis of process data as related to air and water emissions.
What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related engineering discipline.
  • Title V air permitting experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of Environmental Science leadership
  • Strong regulatory experience with MSHA/OSHA.
  • Strong regulatory experience with Federal, State and local environmental control agencies.
  • Experience in environmental permitting activities
  • Experience implementing key management systems/controls such as Permits, Plans, License & Registration, and Compliance Calendars
