AECOM is seeking a self-motivated experienced Geologist / Scientist for our Orange CA office. In this important position, the successful candidate will support Project Managers in the planning, project or task management and supervision of complex field tasks, including site investigations, drilling oversight, soil and groundwater sample collection, and related work. The candidate will also provide office support for project management, regulatory compliance, data management and technical evaluation, and report preparation for a wide range of multidisciplinary environmental remediation projects.

This is a Project Manager or Technical Lead -track position, therefore, the ideal candidate must be able to work independently and productively in a collaborative team-environment, foster team building through inclusion and mentorship, display a high level of organization and communication, and demonstrate a strong desire to learn from Project Managers. Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following:

+ Field-based task oversight of environmental investigation and remediation programs.

+ Oversee and lead well installation and sampling tasks, and able to communicate with PMs

+ Project Management tasks including budgeting, schedule and scope development and tracking

+ Data management, evaluation and report writing with experience drafting environmental investigation reports.

+ Qualified candidates must be comfortable with periodic travel throughout the Baton Rouge area.

+ Flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse projects, a positive attitude, willingness to mentor junior staff, and commitment to workplace health and safety are imperative.

Minimum Requirements

+ Bachelor's in Geology, Engineering, Science or related field 4+ years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

+ Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

+ 6 years of experience in environmental consulting

+ PE or PG certification

+ Project Management experience

+ 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training
