The Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL), a global company who support's the World's Best Navy, is looking to expand our Environmental Engineering team at the Knolls Laboratory Site. We are seeking an engineer or scientist with a background in interpretation and implementation of environmental regulations who is looking to join a dynamic workplace and a great team! Our work includes a combination of field work, compliance oversight, regulatory report preparation and review maintenance of our local environmental procedures.

As part of this team you will have the opportunity to:

Develop and/or provide subject matter expertise in one or more environmental program areas to support safe and compliant execution of work activities and site operations. The scope of environmental program areas includes storm water, wastewater, air emissions, petroleum and chemical management, waste, and others.
Develop and follow programs and projects to ensure compliance with operational, design, regulatory and Naval Reactors Program environmental requirements.
Develop, deliver and oversee training for NNL personnel to promote environmental awareness and stewardship.
Prepare and maintain records and reports to meet regulatory requirements, interpret regulatory requirements and approve technical work procedures.
Participate in inspections and interface with outside regulatory agencies (e.g. EPS, NYSDEC).
