Job Description
Our Wheat Ridge, CO laboratory is looking for a Log-In Technician to join their team! The Log-In Technician is responsible for logging all samples into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). The Log-In Technician must review each chain of custody to interpret the appropriate test codes needed for each sample. The Log-In Technician is expected to have a working knowledge of test codes in order to communicate the correct analyses to the laboratory, along with the appropriate parameters and reporting limits to the client. The Log-In Technician will have continuous communication with our Client Services team and lab operations to ensure all samples are entered in an efficient manner. Effective communication skills and attention to detail are essential for this role.
Job Functions
Reviews each chain of custody to interpret sample information and necessary testing
Enters samples into the LIMS system by assigning the appropriate analytical test code based on the accompanying chain of custody (COC)
Liaises with the Client Services team to resolve issues and clarify any ambiguity on the COCs
Processes change orders as requested
Performs other duties as assigned
