Project Manager, Environmental Consultant

ProSearch is pleased to be partnering with Biodiversity Research Institute (BRI) in their search for a Project Manager, Environmental Consultant in their downtown Portland, Maine office. Biodiversity Research Institute (BRI) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to assess emerging threats to wildlife and ecosystems through collaborative research, and to use scientific findings to advance environmental awareness and inform decision makers.

The successful candidate will have an integral role within the BRI Environmental Consulting Group, a commercial consulting team dedicated to environmentally sound project development. This group works primarily on renewable solar, wind, and energy transmission projects and is at the forefront of the industry in New England.

The Project Manager, Environmental Consulting will provide a range of consulting services to a diverse set of clients and will develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients. The successful candidate must be a hands-on problem solver willing to work through issues as they arise with colleagues, clients, regulators, and with projects.

Qualifications:

? Previous experience with local, state, and federal energy project permitting across New England.

? 3+ years of project management experience in the energy industry.

? Demonstrated experience leading complex, multidisciplinary projects and building strong advisory relationships with clients.

? Problem solving mentality and a strong ability to work both independently and on multi-disciplinary teams.

? Capable of assisting with the development of technical reports, presentations, cost estimates and project proposals.
