PTS Advance is seeking to hire an Interim Head of Microbiology for one of our global pharmaceutical clients in Thousand Oaks, CA. Our client is looking for a highly technical microbiology professional who has experience in the biotechnology industry along with knowledge of pharmaceuticals. This individual will streamline communication between the Site Head of Quality and the direct reports within the department. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
To be successful in this role you will need a Bachelor's Degree in a scientific field with 6+ years of experience, MS with 4+ years of experience, or PhD with 2+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or biotechnology industry. Must have general microbiology experience and validation experience with sterility isolators. Leadership experience is also necessary.
- Working with new products which will require validation of new instruments
- Troubleshoot and guide members of the team on new instruments
- Set up robust environmental monitoring programs
- Interdepartmental and cross-functional team collaboration and communication
- Manage and train with 5 direct reports
