Rhodium Group is recruiting a Director to lead the company's new Corporate Climate Advisory team. Location is flexible within the following Rhodium locations: Washington, DC; New York, NY; Oakland, CA; or Seattle, WA.
Position Description
Rhodium is looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial Director to lead the company's new Corporate Climate Advisory team. Rhodium combines policy expertise with a suite of detailed energy-economic models to help clients understand the impact of energy and climate change policy on economic output, energy markets, and greenhouse gas emissions. Corporations are playing an increasingly central role in global net-zero efforts and are ramping up resources to not only achieve their own pledges but also to help invest in a net-zero future for all. The new Director of our Corporate Climate Advisory will collaborate across our US and international energy and climate teams - a group of policy experts, economists, energy modelers and data engineers - to help corporate decision-makers understand and address some of the most challenging global energy and environmental issues.

Position Responsibilities
- Lead the firm's work providing energy and climate advisory services to a wide range of corporate partners.
- Collaborate with Rhodium's experts across practice areas to leverage Rhodium's body of research and analysis on US and global energy and climate policy and market dynamics, drawing insights for the corporate community.
- Work directly with corporate partners to understand their analytical and business needs and help to develop and implement successful decarbonization strategies.
- Build out and lead a Corporate Climate Advisory team at Rhodium over time.
- Actively seek out and retain new clients and expand business opportunities
Eligible candidates will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in economics, engineering, environmental science, public policy or related disciplines, and 10+ years of experience working on energy or climate.
- Proven command of energy market and policy dynamics in key regions (including the US and EU), and familiarity with a wide range of emerging clean energy technologies.
- Familiarity with the corporate climate and sustainability landscape, best practices, and organizational frameworks
- Proven track record of business development and client relationship management
- Experience collaborating with energy experts and modelers, distilling actionable insights, and communicating to a corporate audience.
- Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues in a fast-moving environment, supervise multiple projects and take ownership, mentor, grow and lead a team, and to independently prioritize and troubleshoot.
- Strong writing and presentation skills and public engagement experience.
- Experience working in a corporate setting or consulting a plus
