We're seeking a Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist to help scale our rapidly growing company. This role will ensure effective and efficient compliance with local, state and federal regulations and agencies, managing facility safety processes to protect employees, company, the environment, and provide a safe and healthy workplace. This role will need to work collaboratively across the organization to influence change and drive continuous improvement of the EH&S program.

  • Performs site safety and compliance tasks, including daily monitoring and initial response to customer inquiries for compliance and safety issues.
  • Perform technical writing, SOP creation and document control duties as needed.
  • Coordinate various safety committee activities including meeting scheduling and the recording and distribution of meeting minutes.
  • Prepare EH&S Site monthly reports.
  • Provide oversight of inventory to ensure the inventory is kept up to date, accessible to employees and up to date safety data sheets are available.
  • Compile materials for safety meetings, prepare agendas, and record meeting minutes.
  • Conducting New Hire safety related trainings.
  • Tracks workplace injuries maintains OSHA logs and postings.
  • Ensure subcontractor compliance regarding safety and health requirements.
  • Coordinate Health, Safety, and Environmental improvement and employee engagement activities.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences, Chemistry or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years industry experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Must be team oriented and proactive with excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office programs such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Proficient in Quality Management systems such as Trackwise, Data Management System (DMS) and Learning Management Systems (LMS.)
