Environmental Chemist

Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for a full time chemist to join EuTech Scientific Services, Inc., (ARL EuTech), part of the Analytical Resource Laboratories group in Highland Park, New Jersey. While working closely under the supervision of the Laboratory Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:

• Preparation of samples by following the standard techniques/guidelines
• Performing routine analysis by following standard techniques/guidelines
• Performing routine instrument maintenance
• Able to follow and learn appropriate protocols and SOPs
• Routine analysis of drinking and wastewater samples with NJDEP regulations
• Perform a variety of wet chemistry tests including but not limited to BOD, Ammonia, Cyanide, HEM, COD, Sulfate and Phosphorous
• Experience with UV spectrophotometer, Karl Fisher ICP-MS and Ion Chromatography is a plus
• Perform Proficiency testing by following NJDEP guidelines for drinking and wastewater
• Be able to follow laboratory Standard Operating Procedures and possess good documentation practices
• Maintains lab work area in a neat and orderly fashion.
• May involve some field work.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree
• Minimum of 3 years of laboratory experience in analytical chemistry or closely related field
• Preferred: Experience in environmental testing lab setting
