This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Project Director (TCFD) for our San Francisco office. The following locations will also be considered: Boulder, CO; Portland, OR ; Arlington, VA; New York, NY; and San Diego, CA or other WSP USA offices. Be involved in projects with our Climate, Resilience & Sustainability Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.

The Project Director will lead client-facing teams in the design, implementation, and management of organizational resilience programs, with demonstrated capabilities in climate risk, adaptation, and resilience assessments, strategy, and implementation. Familiarity with disclosure in alignment with the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) is required. The ideal candidate will have the flexibility and capacity to work on a variety of projects and the demonstrated ability to work well with cross-functional teams. Candidates should be passionate about sustainability and resilience, self-motivated and self-directed, collaborative, and able to produce high-quality work products.

Your Impact

Leading strategic client engagements around climate risk and opportunity assessments, adaptation, enterprise risk management, resilience strategy, and TCFD disclosure.

Developing entity-wide, asset-level, and supply and value chain climate risk, resilience, and adaptive capacity assessments.

Designing climate risk management and resilience performance targets, metrics, and accompanying strategies and achievement plans.

Identifying and evaluating opportunities to reduce physical and transition risks and enhance sustainability and resilience across an enterprise and within communities.

Developing and managing sustainability or resilience programs, in addition to related strategies and policies.

Advising on TCFD alignment, implementation, scenario analysis, and methods to integrate climate considerations entity-wide.

Developing TCFD reports, disclosures, and other communications.

Managing and supporting business development activities with existing and prospective clients.

Supervising individuals and delegating to others as necessary.

Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Public Policy, Sustainability, Climate Change, Risk Management, Engineering, Energy, or an environmental or related discipline.

7-10 years of related professional experience including experience with corporate sustainability, adaptation, resilience consulting, energy, and/or management consulting.

Direct experience with TCFD and sustainability frameworks such as SASB, CDP, SBTI, RE100, the GHG Protocol, and GRESB.

Ability to develop and present analyses using programs including Microsoft Excel, Access, and Power BI and translate them into client-ready briefings.

Strong oral and written communication skill with the ability to communicate results via Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and related software and craft compelling presentations and reports.

Project and client relationship management experience.

Clear and effective communicator with well-developed interpersonal skills, maturity, flexibility, confidence, and integrity.

Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects/project teams concurrently.

Ability to collaborate remotely across geographies and platforms.

Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

Compensation and Benefits: WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee's career.

Expected Salary (Colorado): $76,400 - $155,900
