The Department of Environmental Quality, Water Permitting Division seeks a qualified candidate to manage the Erosion and Sediment Control and Stormwater Management plan review program for the Office of Stormwater Management in order to ensure statewide program consistency. The position manages plan review resources, performs plan reviews, and provides technical expertise and guidance related to Erosion and Sediment Control and Stormwater Management. The position develops and maintains policies and procedures, as well as evaluates plan review activities to ensure compliance with the State Water Control Law and other state and federal laws and regulations relating to Erosion and Sediment Control and Stormwater Management.Why DEQ?

Environmental Manager II (Plan Review Manager) - P0205
Minimum Starting Salary: $63,219 - Negotiable Based on ExperienceQualifications:
- Comprehensive knowledge of water environmental statutes, regulations, policies and guidance related to erosion and sediment control and post-construction stormwater management.
- Knowledge and experience with plan review, regulation development, program planning and evaluation, personnel management, and resource management.
- Knowledge and experience with policy analysis, government operations, engineering and other technical areas related to erosion and sediment control and post-construction stormwater management.
- Knowledge, skills, and abilities in project management and personal computer operations.
- Ability to communicate effectively; analyze and solve problems, and lead and develop others.
Degree from an accredited college or university in environmental engineering, natural or environmental science, or related field. A combination of education, experience, and training may substitute for a degree. Certification or the ability to obtain Certification as an Erosion and Sediment Control and Stormwater Management Plan Reviewer within one year of employment.
