Overview:
Known as one of FORTUNE'S "100 Best Companies to Work For," Kimley-Horn is seeking an Environmental Analyst/Planner to help expand our multi-disciplinary environmental planning team in Oakland, CA.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will have experience preparing California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) documents, including environmental impact reports, negative and mitigated negative declarations, Specific Plans, Master Plans, and other such environmental or planning policy documents in support of a full range of infill and/or land development related projects.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Planning or relatable fieldAt least 4 years of experience conducting environmental studies for local agencies and private entitiesExperience with a wide range of tasks related to environmental planning, land planning, policy planning, and entitlement for both a variety of land development projects.Understanding of the agencies involved with the CEQA process and as well as California Land Planning Law.Experience with NEPA compliance is a plusTechnical skills such as CalEEMod and GIS is a plusUnderstand the variety of resources available to facilitate and complete the CEQA process including Air, Noise, and GHG analysis; Drainage Studies, Climate Action Plans, and Agency Permit Processing.Excellent verbal and written communicationPositive attitude and an impressive work ethicClear sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet deadlinesAttention to detail and ability to contribute to a positive work environmentExperience managing complex assignments or projects is highly desired
