Reports to: Sr Director, Biology
Responsibilities
Design, establish, and optimize rodent disease models
Design and execute in vitro/ex vivo cellular assays with primary cells from human and mouse tissues, as well as cell lines
Design and execute in vivo pharmacology studies to assess drug candidates
Assist with preclinical biomarker development
Perform properly controlled experiments that generate high quality data
Responsible for data review, analysis, and interpretation from a variety of sources to enable program go/no-go decisions
Collaborate and coordinate with internal scientists and external collaborators to design and troubleshoot experimental protocols to optimize endpoints both externally and internally
What You Need for this Position
B.S. required. MS or PhD in biological sciences, immunology, or related disciplines is preferred
Ability to execute at an Associate Scientist level
Industry Experience Strongly Preferred
Hands-on experience in standard cellular assays and techniques, including cell isolation, cell culture, flow cytometry, and ELISA and/or experience with performing basic in vivo animal model techniques (animal handling and injection) and tissue collection is strongly preferred
