Groundwork San Diego - Chollas Creek is seeking individuals for our spring after-school extended learning programs! We have a 4-acre Climate Action Park where we host STEAM educational programs for middle and elementary school students in Southeast San Diego.
As an EarthLab Educator, please be prepared to lead a group of 10 students through an engaging activity that teaches the impacts and solutions to climate change. We will explore the science, technology, art, engineering, and mathematics of Climate Action at the outdoor classrooms in the EarthLab.
We are looking for outdoor educations to work with both the middle and elementary school programs.
$20 per hour
20 hours per week, Monday - Friday, afternoons (1pm - 5pm)
Dates: February 1 - June 10 , with possibility of extension into summer.

Desired Qualifications
Our programs follow all San Diego Unified School District / CDC COVID-19 prevention guidelines.
*Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19*
*Must be in San Diego and ready to start work by Feb 1*

Desired Qualifications
- STEAM related college degree
- Teaching experience (2 years +)
- Familiarity with environmental science and San Diego's ecosystems
- First Aid certification
- Spanish Speaking
- Willingness to get a California Commercial Drivers License Class C with passenger endorsement to drive a 15 passenger van for student transportation
