Duties: The biology scientist will have experience interrogating cellular and molecular mechanisms as they relate to kinase target pathway modulation, off-target liabilities and resistance. The candidates primary role will be lab based and include cellular assays to support drug discovery efforts. This position offers the opportunity to impact a growing portfolio of targeted therapies in a fast-paced and innovative research environment.

- Independently conduct, optimize and proactively troubleshoot cellular screening assays.
- Responsible for running cellular assays to screen small molecules, target validation and to establish PKPD relationships.
- Employ cellular and molecular assays such as isolation of RNA, PCR, Western blotting, ELISA, and flow cytometry to dissect mechanism of action of small molecules.
- Timely analyze and record detailed experimental data in an electronic laboratory notebook
- Actively participate in cross-functional projects.
- Present data to integrated project teams
Requirements:
- BS/MS in cellular molecular biology, cancer biology or related discipline with 1-3 years of laboratory experience in industry or academic setting.
- Experience in cell-based assays and mammalian cell culture, including transfection and transduction techniques, as well as stable cell line generation
- Familiar with state-of-the-art experimental techniques and the ability to implement new technologies when applicable
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills to facilitate cross-functional collaboration
- Highly self-motivated , team player, capable of adapt to fast-paced and collaborative work environment
- Previous drug discovery experience in cancer biology and immunology is a plus
- Hands-on experience with MSD, AphaLISA , HTRF and Nanostring assay platforms is also a plus
- Prior experience with automation, plate-based assays and HTS is a plus
