Cell Biology/Genome- Post-Doctorate YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES The primary responsibilities of this role, Cell Biology/Genome- Post-Doctorate, are to: * Adapt and optimize a plant cell-based assay for High Throughput Screening; * Plan large-scale genetic variant screening experiments based on Deep Mutational Scanning and drive their execution in close alignment with internal partners and external vendors; * Plan and drive screen preparation work such as cell model selection, assay development, proof-of-concept experiments; * Biologically interpret screen results together with a project-dedicated data scientist and project team; * Be part of an international and interdisciplinary research team closely interacting with your colleagues from the entire R&D organization of Bayer Pharma and Crop Science, as well as several contract research organizations; * Strengthen the visibility of the team's research and scientific excellence through publishing and actively engaging with the internal and external scientific community. More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following: Required Qualifications: * Ph.D. (defended by 12/15/21) in molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Genomics, or similar field, with an excellent track record of productivity; * Excellent team spirit, presentation and publication-writing skills along with the ability to work in a dynamic, interdisciplinary team environment with strong focus and passion. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience in Deep Mutational Scanning; * Experience in genetic perturbation screening such as CRISPR, CRISPRa/CRISPRi, or si/shRNA screening.
