HRP Associates, Inc. is seeking a Senior Environmental Scientist/Geologist with 5 to 10 years of experience to join our team in Tampa, Florida. A variety of challenging assignments will be offered to successful candidates, including the design and execution of hydrogeological investigations, remedial actions, and hazardous material and environmental assessments.

Responsibilities:
  • Field team supervision
  • Environmental data management
  • Performs Phase I/Phase II Environmental Site Assessments
  • Conducts building surveys for Asbestos/Lead/Mold
  • Performs indoor air quality sampling
  • Performs data analysis and interpretation
  • Assists with preparation of technical reports, environmental plans and permits, and client presentations
  • Assists senior staff with preparation of work scopes and budget estimates
  • May work independently or as team member, depending on assignment
  • Fieldwork 60% with the possibility of overnight travel
  • Adherence to established project/task schedules and budgets
  • Supports office business development and marketing objectives
  • Other duties as assigned


Work Experience & Knowledge to Include:
  • Familiar with FDEP rules and regulations
  • Environmental compliance (SWPPP, SPCC, air monitoring)
  • Administering group training
  • Multi-media field sampling and logging techniques
  • Oversight and management of subcontractors
  • Monitoring well design and installation
  • Geospatial data collection and analysis
  • Environmental site assessments (Phase I/II/III)
  • Indoor air quality testing and assessment
  • Report preparation and an aptitude for technical writing
  • Working knowledge of groundwater/soil remediation technologies
  • Consulting experience


Preferred:
  • B.S. in a related field including Earth/Natural sciences, Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrogeology, Biology, Chemistry, etc.
  • Certified FSESC (Stormwater) Inspector
  • Certified Asbestos Surveyor/Inspector, Asbestos Project Monitor
  • Current 40-hr HAZWOPER
  • OSHA Compliance experience
  • Hazardous Building Material Surveys and Abatement Monitoring (Asbestos/Mold/Lead)
  • Property Condition Assessments (PCA)
  • Good writing and communication skills
