Blue Environmental is actively seeking a full time or part time Employee for our Seattle/Tacoma team. The ideal candidate will share in our mission for environmental sustainability, providing efficient and detailed long-term support for our growing company.
Ideal Certifications & Experience:
- B.S. in Environmental Studies, Science, Engineering or related field
- Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Lead (CESCL)
- Experience with the Industrial Stormwater General Permit and Construction Stormwater General Permit
- Experience in stormwater and wastewater sampling
- Knowledge of basic laboratory testing procedures, including sampling techniques and chain of custody protocols
- Ability to travel to client locations up to 100 miles outside of Seattle
(Mandatory: Active Driver's License, Vehicle & Insurance)
- Experience working independently with limited manager supervision
- Experience interacting with clients, including sufficient knowledge to explain current regulations and compliance information with clients
Typical projects to include:
- Travel to heavy industrial sites in the Seattle and Tacoma Areas
- Weather-dependent stormwater sampling and inspections, with the majority of sampling completed at the beginning of each annual quarter. Nights & weekends may be required to complete this work.
- Preparing and maintaining sampling and inspection records electronically
The ideal candidate must be able to address a variety of customer comments, inquiries, and complaints in a polite and professional manner, communicate clearly and concisely (both orally and in writing) and be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
