Cannabis Testing Laboratory Supervisor - Microbiology

Laboratory Supervisor (LS): The LS oversees the work of analysts within their department and ensures routine maintenance of equipment is performed.

Required Education and Experience:

Must have an earned Bachelor of Science or an earned advanced degree from an accredited academic institution in a natural science (such as chemistry or biology) with a minimum of 2 years of science-related experience.

May substitute work experience with an advanced degree, certifications, or specialized technical training.

Location within Organizational Structure

Reports to Laboratory Manager.

Core Functions:

Performs routine maintenance on equipment and instrumentation.

Coordinates repair services with Laboratory Manager.

Organizes section to ensure efficiency.

Monitors turnaround time.

Monitors inventory.

May review data prior to approval.

Performing procedures in accordance with the SOPs, project-specific requirements, and policies set forth by the laboratory management.

Ensures adherence of QA/QC requirements.

Trains and orients new employees.

Ensures that the laboratory is cleaned/sanitized and kept in an orderly manner.

Recommends disciplinary actions.

May analyze samples and review data.

May develop, alter, or update analytical methods and verify or validate them prior to implementation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
