Overview:

THE ROLE:

To control and assure quality and provide technical support for production by means of microbiological analysis of raw materials and finished products. Provide technical support to other corporate groups including Research and Development and Global Licensing.

Perform test of raw materials and finished products for microbial contamination.

Perform preservative efficacy testing.

Assist in trouble shooting production problems.

Provide assistance in training personnel.

Prepare and standardize all reagents.

Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.

Validate procedures used in the micro lab.

Assist in the development of microbiological specifications for new product introductions.

Prepare and present technical reports to managers, co-workers, and customers.

Other duties as assigned.

Experience:

Two to five years of laboratory experience in a pharmaceutical or related industry

Education:

Bachelor of Science in Microbiology or related field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Quality Control in healthcare or pharmaceutical Industry

5 years' prior experience in Quality Control laboratory setting
