Job Summary
Trileaf is seeking a full time, entry level to mid-level Environmental Scientist with 0 to 5 years of experience conducting NEPA Reports, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (Phase I ESAs), or similar. The position will report to Trileaf's southwest regional office in Chandler (Phoenix-area), Arizona.
Responsibilities and Duties
Phase I ESA responsibilities include conducting site visits of wireless communications facilities and commercial properties. The site visit is comprised of taking detailed field notes, photographs, conducting interviews, and performing regulatory agency file reviews. Subsequent to field work, office activities consist of reviewing historic topographic maps, Sanborn maps, city directories, aerial photographs, title/lien search reports, environmental databases, regulatory and other documents followed by the interpretation of the compiled information and the drafting of a standardized report in accordance with ASTM E-1527-13 (AAI).
NEPA responsibilities include conducting site visits of proposed wireless communications facilities. Prior to conducting the site visit, a preliminary screening of listed and/or proposed threatened or endangered species, critical habitat, National Wetland Inventory Maps (NWI), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM) etc., as well as correspondence with Tribal, federal, state, and local agencies in accordance with FCC Rules Title 47 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 1, Subpart I, rule sections 1.1301 to 1.1319. Subsequent to these activities, an individual must be able to interpret the complied information and prepare a template NEPA report.

- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Biology, Environmental Studies, Geology, Engineering or related fields
- Attention to detail
- Strong work ethic
- Valid Driver License
- Capable of occasional extensive field work
- Ability and willingness to travel
- Good computer skills
- Be an independent worker dedicated to excellence
Experience conducting the following assessments is also helpful, but not mandatory:
- NEPA assessments
- Phase I ESAs
- PCAs
- Wetland Delineations
- Lead-based paint / asbestos inspections
