Do you want to play a role in global commerce?

Prologis is seeking an Environmental & Engineering Manager. In this role, reporting to the Director, Global Environmental and Engineering, you will support the acquisition, disposition, financing, development and operation of assets (including environmentally challenged assets). In partnership with the Development team, you'll manage and oversee remediation and redevelopment of environmentally challenged properties within Prologis' existing portfolio. You'll contribute by providing compliance reporting, research, training, and analytical support for the Environmental & Engineering Department.

In addition, you'll manage the collection and analysis of portfolio environmental characteristics and interface regularly with third party environmental and engineering consultants. You will also work extensively with internal stakeholders to gather portfolio data and perform data analysis, as well as support a culture of collaborative problem-solving of complex environmental and engineering concerns.

This position will be based in our San Francisco Global Headquarters. Applicants in other key Prologis markets will also be considered.

What's needed in order to do that:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Engineering, Geology, or relevant field.
  • 6-12 years relevant work experience in: Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, risk assessment, remedial design, cost estimation, and environmental insurance products. We will consider hire at Associate-level if experience includes most of, but not all aforementioned areas.
  • Working knowledge of commercial building operations.
  • Project management experience with demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments to meet deadlines.
  • Positive, proactive 'team player' mentality, with a sense of urgency and follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently to achieve objectives without constant oversight.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written).
  • High degree of proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Discretion, confidentiality and good judgment in handling sensitive documentation.
  • Ability to critically analyze ideas and proposals and think holistically.
  • Capable of working proactively, independently, and with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and willing to be questioned on results.
  • Flexibility and creativity in approach to new ideas and projects.

An added plus!

  • MS or relevant advanced degree (underway or completed).
  • Consulting experience.

All full-time roles in the US come with a robust benefits package which includes healthcare, dental, and vision insurance for employees and eligible dependents. Prologis also offers several other wellness, financial, and work/lifestyle-specific benefits. Our 401(k) retirement plan has a company match of 50% up to 12% of eligible compensation. We also offer generous PTO with a starting accrual of 22 days a year in addition to paid holidays and volunteer time.

As a condition to the commencement of your employment, Prologis requires proof of full vaccination against COVID-19. You are considered fully vaccinated two (2) weeks after your second dose in a two-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or two (2) weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Prologis will consider requests for a reasonable accommodation as to the vaccination requirement on the basis of a disability or sincerely-held religious belief in accordance with applicable law.
