As a federal contractor and healthcare company committed to protecting the health and safety of our employees, contractors, customers and communities, employees in the U.S. and Puerto Rico are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, unless an approved exemption has been granted for a medical reason, sincerely held religious belief, or an employee is otherwise exempt under applicable law.

Agilent Research Laboratories, the central research organization for Agilent Technologies in Santa Clara CA, is seeking a motivated computational biologist excited about joining an innovative research team exploring ways to translate Agilent's advanced best-in-class DNA and RNA manufacturing capabilities into the forefront and create impactful protocols and workflows for compelling life sciences and genomics applications. Special emphasis for these efforts will be in areas such as high throughput functional genomics, genome editing and control, and protein engineering.

As part of this effort, you will be working with a multi-disciplinary team of computational biologists, molecular biologists, and chemists. Using your outstanding computer science and bioinformatics expertise, deep understanding of the applications of interest and of relevant publicly available content, you will design, develop, and test compelling assay designs, analyze generated data using existing and novel approaches, and, together with the team, translate these results into insights driving novel application development. These technologies will have a tangible impact on advancing the next generation of research and clinical capabilities for studying disease, developing therapeutics, and producing high-value compounds.

In this role, you will communicate progress, results, challenges and opportunities to management and technical leadership, to selected external organizations, including collaborators, and, when appropriate, to the general scientific community via presentations at scientific conferences and in peer-reviewed publications. Finally, your research will help Agilent Research Laboratories continue its track record of powering the growth of Agilent Technologies through breakthrough science and technology, creating competitive advantage through high?impact technology, driving market leadership and growth in Agilent's core businesses, and expanding Agilent's measurement footprint into adjacent markets.

Agilent is the premier laboratory partner for a better world. We provide instruments, reagents and consumables, software and applications expertise to life science, diagnostic and applied market laboratories worldwide.
