Sr Scientist, Molecular and Cell Biology

My biotech client is expanding and seeks an experienced Sr Scientist to take on the following tasks:

• Support the drug discovery team with execution of cell-based and biophysical assays
• Evaluate and troubleshoot new assays as well as experimental techniques
• Design and implement thoughtful and well controlled experiments
• Support the drug discovery team by helping with general lab tasks
• Analyze, report, and communicate data to management and colleagues

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

• MS/PhD and experience performing experiments on time sensitive drug discovery projects
• Ideally biotech/pharma industry experience
• Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture, ELISA, Western Blotting, imaging, RT- qPCR, FACS, cloning, and protein production
• Broad experience in conducting cellular, biochemical, and biophysical assays
• Ability to learn rapidly, implement new techniques and adapt rapidly in a dynamic environment
• Excellent track record of scientific experiences as demonstrated by publications, patents, or awards
