Position Overview:
TrueBinding Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Senior Associate Scientist or Scientist to join our Upstream Process Development (USP) team. The key responsibility in this role is lead projects for: 1) bulk production of recombinant proteins & antibodies in E. Coli , and/or stable or transient mammalian expression platforms; 2) molecular biology tasks to construct expression plasmids including lentivirus stocks. The ideal candidate is expected to have solid hands-on experience with molecular biology skills and recombinant protein / antibody production, and protein purification.

Responsibilities
- Molecular cloning to construct plasmids for stable expression in mammalian cells; scale-up production of plasmid of different scales (Miniprep to Gigaprep);
- Bulk production of proteins of interest;
- Construct and generate Lentivirus stocks;
- Manage the plasmid quality control, and maintain the plasmid inventory;
- Closely collaborate with scientists in antibody engineering, protein purification, analytic, and in vivo pharmacology teams, to ensure timely delivery of the antibody with desired quality attributes;
- Contribute to antibody production from stable cell lines, and to antibody titer determination;
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, analyze, summarize, interpret, and communicate data internally;
Qualifications
- BS or MS or recent Ph. D in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and other related disciplines with 5+ (BS) or 3+ (MS) years of relevant experience;
- Hands-on experience with routine molecular biology skills: primer design, PCR, molecular cloning, DNA sequencing result analysis, bacterial transformation, plasmid DNA extraction;
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with Lentivirus highly desired;
- Hands-on experience with protein chromatograph purification highly desired, experience with AKTA is a plus
- Knowledge of common protein analytical methods and characterization is a plus;
- Capable of organizing and present data internally, maintaining clear, accurate and complete documentation of experimental data and procedure;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude;
