Responsibilities:
- Perform regular mammalian cell culture and preparation of cells for cell-based assays and experiments
- Perform molecular biology tasks including genomic DNA extraction, PCR, gel electrophoresis, and cloning
- Independently plan, execute, and analyze experiments
- Management and tracking of inventory, reordering, and restocking of supplies
- Routine laboratory cleanup and maintenance
Required Qualifications:
- BS or MS in a biology related field with 2+ years of laboratory research experience
- Extensive experience with mammalian cell culture (CHO, HEK, Jurkat, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
- Effective communication skills to present data to a wide audience of internal and external collaborators and partners
- Detail-orientated and organized with the ability to adapt and implement protocols and keep good notes in a lab notebook
Preferred Additional Qualifications:
- Experience with iPSCs and/or T cells
- Experience with CRISPR gene editing technology
- Experience with transfections, electroporations, or other forms of cellular delivery
- Experience with flow cytometry
- Experience with Microsoft suite of programs and digital notebooking software
